RM Clark Associates joins NEPPA (Northeast Public Power Association)
The Northeast Public Power Association is a private, non-profit trade association that is incorporated as a 501 c(6). NEPPA was founded in 1965 to represent and serve consumer-owned utilities of New England. As a regional organization, it uses the combined strength of its diverse members to provide low-cost services and to advocate public policies and federal legislation, which are beneficial to its members’ interests.
For over 100 years, not for profit electric utilities have brought low – cost reliable electric service to customers throughout the United States. Nationally, one customer in four is served by a public power company that is owned and operated by local or state governments or rural cooperatives. In the six New England states, over 80 public power systems serve roughly 2 million retail customers and sell over 13 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.
NEPPA is governed by an elected Board of Directors comprised of 21 public power officials representing member utilities in all six New England states. Nine standing committees provide guidance on member services and policies and a professional staff serves the membership through its offices located in Littleton, Massachusetts.
Owen Witham recently joined the RM Clark organization to lead up the automation division. Owen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Previously he has worked for automation distributors in the greater Boston and New England area. His primary focus will be to grow the WEG Automation product line in the electrical, mechanical and HVAC markets as well as industrial OEM’s, pump control and panel builders.
Automation products include VFD’s (variable frequency drives), soft starters, push buttons and motor controls.
We are pleased to announce Cindy Franklin has joined the RM Clark team as a field sales engineer covering the CT and western MA markets.
Cindy brings over 19 years experience working for GE Power Systems in engineering economics, sales, marketing and technical proposal management. Previous industry experience includes the electric utility, industrial and marine markets.
In her new role, Cindy will lead our efforts with consulting engineers, contractors, distributors, utilities and industrial end users. Product focus will include low and medium voltage apparatus including transformers, switchgear, busway and cable bus solutions as well as power quality products including UPS systems, voltage regulators, capacitor banks and associated electrical distribution equipment.

R.M. Clark Associates, Inc. has expanded and opened a division entitled R.M. Clark Automation. We are pleased to announce that Edward J Wolk has joined us as Vice President-Automation to lead the efforts of our Automation Division which will focus on providing automation and control solutions using Variable Speed Drives, motor controls, and other associated equipment.
We are excited to have Ed join us for this new opportunity. He is a BS-EE graduate from Northeastern University-Boston, MA and has extensive experience in the New England market with VFD’s, controls, PLC’s, SCADA/RTU, harmonic mitigation equipment, surge suppression, and electrical distribution equipment. He previously was Industrial Sales Manager for Rexel-Raynham, MA.

We are pleased to announce that Scott Kelly has accepted the position of Vice President-Sales for R.M. Clark Associates, Inc. effective March 1, 2016. Scott has a BS-Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Buffalo (SUNY), Buffalo, NY. His successful career in our industry started at the General Electric Co with engineer assignments in Mebane, NC and Plainville, CT and then field sales in Westborough, MA for the construction market. Scott later joined GE Supply- Stoneham, MA as their Switchgear Sales Team Leader. He is currently New England District Sales Manager for Wesco after previously serving as Branch Manager for them.
Scott’s role will be to help manage our sales efforts and initiatives throughout our entire territory.
